Alyssia Lujan-Blea

Throughout Alyssia Lujan-Blea's career, she has dedicated herself to making a difference in the lives of others. For six years, she served as a senior investigator with Child Protective Services, where she worked tirelessly to protect and advocate for the well-being of children in challenging circumstances.

Following this, she transitioned into the field of education, spending a total of 15 years as a teacher. Over 12 of these years were devoted to teaching special education, where she had the privilege of supporting and guiding students with various intellectual and physical disabilities. In addition, she has also worked with adults facing similar challenges, helping them to lead fulfilling lives to the best of their abilities.

In 2014, while working for the Community Based Curriculum Program, K.I.V.A (Keeping Independent Visions Alive), she reached out to Mr. And Mrs. Potter with an opportunity she knew they would love once they started. Alyssia asked the Potters to donate one hour a month, to her students, and teach them life skills through karate. She is blessed and so happy the Potters agreed and ran with her idea of teaching students life skills through meaningful experiences, such as karate.

Her varied experiences have equipped her with a deep understanding and empathy for individuals and families navigating complex circumstances.
