Lonnie Colson
Born 1 of 12 in small-town, rural Clovis, Lonnie has called New Mexico home his whole life. He has five children, and eight beautiful grandchildren. He and his wife Beth, of 28 years and growing, share two of those five children. His youngest son has Down Syndrome and his middle child has autoimmune illnesses, which have shaped his life in beautiful ways. He has also dedicated over 40 years of his early life in the New Mexico National Guard with 35 of those years in aviation. Focusing on Medevac, he has always placed care at the center of his ethic. From growing up in Clovis, to playing little league baseball to flying Medevac in combat duty, he not only understands the inner workings of teamwork and camaraderie, he has a foundation built on it.
Throughout his life and work, Lonnie has seen many changes in what Santa Fe has to offer in team building for individual growth, especially as a father of a son and a daughter who have faced adversity after adversity. From this, he has come to a place of complex understanding of the spectrum of ability. Lonnie has witnessed firsthand the bias of athletic possibilities for his son, and the societal boundaries for his daughter, while encouraging them both to break the mold and find their own path. Lonnie cherishes the connection he has with It all Matters Inc., as it brings forward all that can be for those who have too often been told there can be nothing at all.
